Purchases from Thailand and Malaysia

I brought quite a few things when I was on holiday. Mostly for my little sister though, lol!
But i'm just gonna blog the items I brought for myself, I don't usually spend/buy much on myself. I don't know why I end up feeling guilty :S, like when I went Korea last year I ended up only buying a skirt for myself and brought things for everyone else.

Anyhooo, here is what I brought for myself!! lol I'm going to start of with items from Thailand first!
p.s please ignore the bedding colour sheet! don't ask lol

a high waisted blue skirt! I got this at the chatuchak market for about 220 bhat i think? £4ish! This photo doesn't give it any justice, looks quite creased haha. But I thought it was a good skirt for its value, I actually wore it on a night out.

This picture is bad too!! haha, I teamed the skirt with a black chiffon top, and a black bag! I think the skirt would look nice with a cream top too. :)

A dark grey cropped blazer i brought from an alleyway market near MBK! I kept passing this little stall and then kept walking back to it, thinking if I should get it. This was my favourite one out of the lot, it was originally 280bhat, but i got it down to 220 which is £4ish! Have to do haggling when your in Bangkok lol! I really liked it because of the design pleats on the shoulders!
A cute greyblue dress, i brought from again Chatuchak market! the owner was selling alot of different clubbing style dresses. I brought this for 250bhat, just over a £5a wooo! He did ask if I wanted to buy wholesale, but I just wanted the one lol! Will probably wear this for the Bruno party :)

I was looking to buy a bag, on holiday! Took me a while, but I came across this lovelyyyyyy one in MBK! yep MBK, the most visited shopping store.. I came here like 5X lol! Doesn't it look classy? and elegant! Really like this bag, I also used it when I went the the boat cruise, as it matched my outfit :). Purchased for 200bhat which is just over £4!!

Penang Purchases
Some cute shorts I purchased from Penang at one of the biggest markets in Georgetown, hmmm I thought they would be more high waisted on me, but the design isn't. And wasn't much of a bargain, it was like 40-50 ringits = £11ish/12 :S, I think this was a mistake to buy. I guess it still looks okay, but it does look better in the photo, or in the shop then it does on lol, I should have brought 2 dresses in Thailand, for this price instead.

Got this frilly chiffon cream top from the same market as the one above! But from a different stall, really liked this top but it has a very faint tiny stain on it. My sis said you couldn't even see it but I did, and I think if you buy something new it should be in immaculate condition. I left it at first trying to search everywhere for something similar, but none of them looked nothing like this. So my sister said I should still get this one, cause you couldn't see it, or wash it when I return to England. So I decided to get this, at a discount because of the tiny mark, it was 25 ringits reduced to 20! Which is just over £4.

Flat shoes, which was what I wanted to buy over here, I forgot the name of the shop where I got this from lol, but the size 2, seemed to fit me better than the size 3 :S. Size 2 is quite tight, but size 3 was way too loose so i got the size 3. I like the design and colour on these shoes, simple but effective! Got these for £10ish/11

That is all I got for myself, did buy items for other people but I'm not gonna take a picture of everything and upload them. :)

Back in boring England :(

So, I returned to the U.K friday evening, and to Birmingham at 10pm. Yet my little sister wants to go Oceana???? after a 15 hr flight with barely any sleep! So I ended up going anyway..

In the mean time!! I lovedd Thailand, and the place I stayed at was called CNC Residence, I advise any one who is staying in Bangkok to stay here! It cost £40 a night/2 people sharing, for a 4* apartment/hotel, including breakfast.. You get a living room area, kitchen room area, bedroom and bathroom! and it is important for me, to stay in a really clean hotel, which it was! I do think it was worth it's money. And for people who have to gym, it has that too, you can even go in de sauna, jacuzzi, swimming pool!

click here for more info, about CNC

Tours i went on...Half a day of temple sight seeing from 10.00am - 1.00pm. I didn't know if the grand palace was included in this deal. You can actually go there yourself without a tour, and get there by metre taxi, temple fees are very little e.g 40bhat, less than a £1. But these were smaller temples. We payed 500bhat for this tour for 2 people, beware after the temple they take you to this jewellrey place, trying to persuade you to buy things. If your gullable you will buy, unless your buying a wedding/engagement ring then fine. But my bf ended up buying a £208 ring, (haggled down, you can actually put price lower at an expensive shop) not knowing if it was the right idea or not after lol, and it looks like the ring is gaining marks already. White gold did they say?

A full day from 6:00am - 6pm of Floating boat market, and elephant zoo & crocodile farm
This included lunch, i recommend you do this tour, the first price offered was 1,300bhat/person. But got it down to 1,000bhat/person which is like £10 each, including travel too! This was a bargain

A full day from 6:00am - 6pm of Elephant camp (including elephant 30min ride), going on a bamboo raft at sea. And then visiting the waterfall, 3 hr journey, and didnt get back 2 8pm! lol Lunch was included too, but it was not nice, and you had a choice of 2 dishes with rice :S. I would have to say that was the worse meal in Thailand. But i think everyone should try this tour, for the elephant journey. This cost  about 5,200 bhat/£108, including the boat cruise, as a package deal, for 2 people. Which took 3 hrs to get there from Sukhumvit, because it isn't in Bangkok. The one thing i didnt like of this tour was going on a 1.5 hr train journey, which they dont tell you about, frankly to me that was a waste of time.

Boat cruise Chao Phraya, which cost 1250bhat/each, but i think was abit cheaper because we got it with the elephant camp. I do think it is more of a couples thing, then anything, and i did think the food could have been abit nicer, even though it was buffet and all.. I expected more from the sights. Do try this out if your with your partner, but other then that I wouldn't try it out, if i was with my girls. Also there are many other cruise boats but they will be much smaller e.g Wan Fah, it might be cheaper by £2, but it is better to go on a bigger one. If you want to splash out more, Grand pearl is more ideal, but your just gonna end up seeing the same things anyway.

MBK shopping & Siam Paragon
MBK is more for bargain hunters, where you can buy market clothes etc.. to anything! T-shirts for like £2.. u can always haggle down, and buy more to get even bigger discount, dont take first price. We went here like 5 times, last 2 times ended up being sick of it, lol but eating there is good value for its money! If you like sushi, i think everyone should try the sushi buffet for £6/person where you get your own little hot pot, refill on drinks, refill on ice cream, which doesn't taste like your cheap 1's in U.K buffet places. It was easy to get here from our apartment, taking the BTS which wasnt far.

Siam is more for people who want to shop at more high end couture. I dont see the point going here as there the same as u.k prices? and i can shop in U.K for that?

Chatuchak Weekend market open from 9am-9pm!

Good market that sells everything, got a few items here.. tbh it was better for clothes here (ladies wise) i got a nice dress here for £5ish pounds/250 bhat! and it was better design and quality then MBK 1's.. I got a dress and skirt from here, and a few other little things. Recommend people to visit here.
